Cultural shock

Before I came to America, I could know about foreign culture by watching the television programs about other country’s culture and reading books. Also, the difference of culture between Korea and other country didn’t affect to my life. However, I am living in America and attending highschool, so the difference of American culture is important to me. First, school is totally different from my Korean school. American highschool is the place that provides to students opportunity to experience sports, art, music and volunteer. However, Korean high schools are separated the fields of study, sport, art , music and engineering. If I choose the school for study, it is hard to experiece sport, art and music. Second,American highschool starts at 8:00 am and dismisse at 3:30pm, so students have more time to sport, work and do whatever they want. However, Korean high school starts at 7:30 am and dismiss at 10:oopm, so students don’t have time to enjoy their life not in school. Third, I never have party in my life so never wear party dresses and care about partner. Since I was in american highschool, I went every party that school have and had fun of dancing and hanging out with friends at party. I really like to know culture and feel of shock from differences because it makes me to realize how big world is and wonder about more culture.
